My husband and I tried at first to sell our home ourselves. After relocating 6 states away we found the FSBO (For Sale by Owner) process wasn't working for us. We interviewed nearly a dozen different agents, but eventually followed the recommendation of our attorney and listed our house with Laura and Classic Real Estate. From the start, we noticed that Laura and her associates clearly had an upper hand over other realty companies. During the most trying times to sell a house, they helped make everything as trouble free as possible. Laura was always upfront and honest with us, a trait we particularly admired. We had a unique home that called for unique buyers and, in a floundering housing market, it was going to take some creative thinking to sell our house. Laura's associate, Marilyn, came out and picked out paint colors for the interior of our house, and made suggestions to make our home more attractive to potential buyers. Ned, also from Classic Real Estate, also took time to make suggestions, showed the house and helped us out in more ways than one. We were amazed when Laura told us that everyone from Classic Real Estate had pitched in to keep the house tidy for us since we were 650 miles away. Laura was available to us 7 days a week to answer our questions and address our concerns. She kept us up-to-date and well informed every step of the way. Being licensed in Pennsylvania and Maryland definitely made a difference in the number of potential buyers. But it was Laura's extra leg work, exemplary professionalism, and creative advertising that found our unique buyer - all the way across the country in California! My husband and I cannot say enough about how pleased we were with Laura and Classic Real Estate's performance. Had it not been for them, we highly doubt our house would have sold as soon as it did. I was absolutely shocked when I walked in on Thursday and saw what a difference it made in the house.
